About Manners Mouse
Manners Mouse was created by Steve Prahcharov, an experienced educator and the Founder and Headmaster of Scottsdale Country Day School (SCDS) in Scottsdale, Arizona. Steve has spent many years working in education and has dedicated his career to helping children learn, grow, and become confident, respectful, and responsible members of their communities.
His experience in education helped inspire the creation of Manners Mouse, a children's book and educational experience focused on teaching children that manners are more than simply saying “please” and “thank you.” Manners Mouse encourages children to practice kindness, respect, responsibility, listening, sharing, helping others, and making positive choices in their everyday lives. Through the Manners Mouse checklist, children can turn these lessons into simple daily habits at home and at school
Manners Mouse reflects many of the same values that Steve has worked to build into the SCDS community. By combining his experience as an educator with an engaging children's story, Steve created a way to bring lessons about kindness, character, respect, and good manners beyond the classroom and into children's everyday lives.
Through Manners Mouse, Steve brings those lessons directly to children through books, classroom visits, school events, storytimes, and interactive activities. The goal is simple: help children understand that every good choice, no matter how small, can make a difference.
